About This Car
This 2008 Porsche 911 997.1 GT3 RS is a 7k-mile example that was purchased new by the current owner, and the seller tells us that it was ordered after the standard GT3 RS allocation period ended. Finished in green over black leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six linked with a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes the Sport Chrono Package Plus, 19â³ black-finished alloy wheels, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, aftermarket exhaust components, bi-xenon headlights, an adjustable rear wing, GT3 RS graphics, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment, navigation, Euro 996 GT3-specification seats, Speed Yellow seatbelts, Schroth harnesses, a roll bar, a Valentine One radar detector, and a Sharkwerks fire extinguisher kit. This 997.1 GT3 RS is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of the owner with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a window sticker, owner’s manuals, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Illinois title in the owner’s name.
The track-focused RS model features a carbon-fiber rear wing and wider quarter panels as well as model-specific side stripes and badging when compared to the standard 997 GT3. This example is finished in Green (J5)Â and features bi-xenon headlights, headlight washers, fog lights, LED taillights, and dual center-mounted exhaust outlets.
The 19â³ black-finished alloy wheels are mounted with staggered-width Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires that were installed in January 2025. Braking is handled by yellow Porsche-branded calipers over ceramic-composite rotors. The GT3 RS was factory equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) featuring adjustable coilovers. The brake fluid was flushed in June 2024.
The cabin features retrofitted Euro 996 GT3-specification Recaro bucket seats trimmed in black leather. A body-color bolt-n roll bar, a Sharkwerks fire extinguisher kit, a Valentine One radar detector, and Schroth safety harnesses have been added, and factory equipment includes Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment, navigation, a CD stereo, and air conditioning.
A leather-trimmed steering wheel frames a central GT3-branded tachometer with an 8,400-rpm redline, a 225-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The optional Sport Chrono Package Plus added a stopwatch atop the dashboard. The digital odometer indicates 7k miles, nearly all of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six features VarioCam variable valve timing as well as titanium connecting rods and dry-sump lubrication. Factory rated output was 415 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in June 2024.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The seller tells us the car has been fitted with GMG exhaust components.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Napleton Westmont Porsche in Westmont, Illinois, along with colors, factory equipment, options, and a total suggested retail price of $146,350. A Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, owner’s manuals, and service records are included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other reported damage.
