About This Car
This 1997 Mercedes-Benz E420 was registered with its original owner in Tennessee until 2019, and it has 91k miles. Powered by an M119 32-valve 4.2L V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, the car is finished in black over gray leather, and it has a sunroof, 16″ five-spoke wheels, power-adjustable front seats, and a Bose sound system. The vehicle was acquired in December 2024 by the seller, who replaced the tires and some interior elements in preparation for the sale. This W210 E420 is offered at no reserve with service records, spare keys, manufacturer’s literature and accessories, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Tennessee title in the seller’s name.
Exterior details include yellow fog lights, white pinstripes, and an eccentric-sweeping monoblade windshield wiper. The top of the rear bumper cover has a crack, and there are two dings in the driver’s door, which are pictured in close-up photos shown in the gallery below.
Automatic Slip Control (ASR) and speed-sensitive power steering are noted, and the ventilated disc brakes have 12.5″ rotors up front. The 16×7.5″ five-hole alloy wheels are mounted with 215/55 Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum KU27 tires.
The 10-way power-adjustable front seats are trimmed in gray leather, and the cabin has burl walnut wood trim. Other appointments include a sunroof, a Bose sound system, a cassette stereo, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The right power-seat switch was replaced by the seller, and its trim piece is lighter than others in the car. The left-rear window does not roll down, and some cracks are noted in the dashboard along with a flaw in the right-rear door card.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted on a power-adjustable column, and the driver is aided by an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The odometer indicates 91k miles, ~100 of which were added by the seller, who also replaced the backlighting for the climate-control head unit.
The 32-valve M119 4.2L quad-cam V8 was only available for the 1997 model year of the W210 E Class. It was factory rated at 275 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. The air filter was replaced, and an oil change was completed in February 2025.
Additional photographs of the underside are shown at the end of the gallery.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
