About This Car
This left-hand-drive 1995 Mercedes-Benz E280 is one of a reported 50 AMG Limited Edition examples produced for the Japanese market by AMG Japan. The package added forged 17â³ BBS AMG Aero II two-piece wheels, Bilstein dampers, AMG springs, and color-matched lower-body cladding with AMG valances and rocker-panel extensions as well as special interior details. It was imported to the US by the seller in 2021, and service documents totaling approximately $6k from 2021 and 2023 included an oil change and replacement of the tires, transmission filter, engine and transmission mounts, battery, mass airflow sensor, air filter, water pump, thermostat, and coolant. Powered by a 2.8-liter M104 inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, the car is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic and also equipped with Anthracite leather upholstery, burl walnut trim, dual-zone air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, a cassette stereo, and Yanase floor mats. This W124 is now offered at no reserve in California with manufacturer’s literature, service records, a Carfax report, and a Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.
The car was finished from the factory in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features a hood ornament, asymmetrical side mirrors, rain guards, and color-matched lower-body cladding along with AMG valances and rocker-panel extensions. AMG and AMG Japan decals are present on the bottom left corner of the rear glass. Scuffs are present on the lower front valance, and clearcoat crazing is depicted in the gallery.
Forged 17â³ BBS AMG Aero II two-piece wheels are mounted with 225/45 Kumho Ecsta PS31 tires that were installed in August 2021. The car rides on Bilstein dampers with AMG springs, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.
The heated power-adjustable front sport seats and two-place rear bench are trimmed in Anthracite leather upholstery and are joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Interior elements include burl walnut trim, dual-zone air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, a cassette stereo, and Yanase floor mats.
A “Limited Edition AMG” insignia adorns the ashtray veneer as well as the door sill plates.
The wood- and leather-trimmed four-spoke steering wheel frames an AMG-branded instrument cluster containing a 260-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and a combination gauge with readouts for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 149k kilometers (~93k miles).
The 2.8-liter M104 inline-six features Bosch Motronic electronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 193 horsepower and 199 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed, and the battery, mass airflow sensor, air filter, water pump, thermostat, and coolant were replaced in August 2021. The engine mounts and hood insulation were replaced in June 2023.
Power is directed to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The transmission filter was replaced in August 2021, and the transmission mounts were replaced in June 2023.
The Carfax report is free of accidents and other reported damage from two total entries in 2021 and 2022.
The car has not been inspected by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair, and it cannot be sold to an in-state private party buyer.
