About This Car
This 1994 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 is one of 267 factory widebody coupes delivered to the North American market, and it was modified with backdated bodywork in 2019 by Coachwerks Restoration of British Columbia, Canada, including a sunroof delete and an aluminum-reinforced fiberglass longhood, ducktail decklid, and RS-style bumpers. The car has been repainted in Gulf Blue with orange graphics and it rides on 17″ Fuchs-style wheels and KW coilovers. The interior features Recaro Sportster bucket seats and was reupholstered in tan leather with blue piping after being acquired by the seller in 2022, and additional work has involved rebuilding the 3.6L flat-six as well as installing a MoTeC wiring harness and ECU, Rasant Products individual throttle bodies, and a custom exhaust system. Power is sent to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential, and further build highlights include a Sleepers short shifter, a Porsche Classic radio, a MOMO steering wheel, and backdated gauges. This backdated 964 C4 coupe is now offered with build and service records, build photos, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The car came equipped with steel widebody fenders from the factory and was fitted with an aluminum-reinforced fiberglass longhood, ducktail decklid, and RS-style bumpers and was repainted in Gulf Blue with orange side strips and graphics. The sunroof was deleted with a welded panel at that time and backdated taillights, LED headlights, bullet-style mirrors, and driving lamps were installed. Paint protection film has been applied to the front of the car and the windows have been tinted.
The 17â Fikse wheels feature orange centers and are wrapped in Continental tires measuring 235/45 up front and 275/40 out back. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs with ABS. KW coilovers, an H&R rear sway bar, RSR-style tie rods, and heavy-duty control arm bushings were installed in 2019.
Recaro Sportster CS seats were reupholstered under current ownership in tan leather with blue piping and embroidered Porsche crests in the headrests. The rear seats were re-trimmed to match, the dash was reupholstered in leather, and leather RS-style door panels were also installed along with squareweave carpets. Additional equipment includes cruise control, air conditioning, a polished shift knob, and a Porsche Classic stereo wired to a Rockford amplifier and Focal speakers. The seller notes that the cruise control speed cannot be adjusted after being engaged due to the Rasant fuel injection system.
The leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel frames backdated VDO instrumentation with white dials, including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline as well as a 180-mph speedometer, a Quarz analog clock, and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 134k miles, approximately 400 of which have been added since the engine rebuild.
The 3.6-liter flat-six was fitted with Rasant Products individual throttle body injection in 2022 along with a MoTeC wiring harness and ECU and a custom exhaust system. The engine was rebuilt by Porsche Naples in Florida in 2023, including a refresh of the cylinder head and replacement of the camshafts, bearings, and timing chains.
Power is sent to all four wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle, and the Carrera 4 features a computer-controlled limited-slip differential. The clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate were replaced in 2022, and a replacement clutch slave cylinder was installed in 2023.
Various photos of the initial build as well as the engine overhaul are shown in the photo gallery.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists a potential odometer rollback in September 2016.
