About This Car
This 1982 Porsche 911SC coupe was initially titled in Kansas, and it was registered in several states before it was relocated to California in 2022 and acquired by the current owner in 2024. Powered by a 3.0-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, the car is finished in Platinum Metallic over tan leather upholstery. Equipment includes staggered-width 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels, a limited-slip differential, Fabspeed exhaust components, a sunroof, fog lights, a tea tray rear spoiler, factory sport seats, a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, a 917-style shift knob, air conditioning, power windows, and a Continental stereo head unit. Work in 2024 included a leak-down test and a valve adjustment as well as a brake service. This 911SC coupe shows 167k miles and is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with partial service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the owner’s name.
The car is finished in Platinum Metallic and features a sunroof, front fog lights, a rear fog light, dual side mirrors, a tea tray rear spoiler, rear bumperettes, and dual Fabspeed Motorsport exhaust tips. The seller notes that paintless dent removal was performed on two areas of the windshield cowl, and photos of paint meter readings are shown in the gallery along with paint chips, touch-ups, and imperfections.
Staggered-width 16″ Fuchs wheels have black centers and are mounted with 185/70 front and 215/60 rear Cooper Zeon RS3-G1 tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes with ventilated rotors. A November 2024 brake service included a fluid flush, rebuilding two calipers, changing some of the brake rotors, repacking the wheel bearings, and replacing the front and rear pads.
The front sport seats have been reupholstered in tan leather and are complemented by a brown dashboard, door caps, and carpets. Amenities include a center console, a wooden 917-style shift knob, air conditioning, Coco floor mats, power windows, and a Continental stereo head unit. Replacement air conditioning components have been fitted.
The leather-wrapped MOMO Prototipo steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for oil level, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 167k miles, approximately 1,600 of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.0-liter flat-six features Bosch fuel injection and was factory rated at 172 horsepower and 189 lb-ft of torque. A replacement oxygen sensor control unit and oxygen sensor were installed in April 2021 in addition to the fuel tank screen, fuel tank sending unit, drive belt, spark plugs, and left CV boots. Service performed in October 2024 involved a leak-down test and a valve adjustment. The car most recently passed a California emissions test in May 2024.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle and a factory limited-slip differential.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other reported damage.
