About This Car
This 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe has remained registered in California from new and has 88k miles following the seller’s 2024 acquisition. Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Space Grey leather, the car is powered by a 3.4-liter M96 flat-six linked to a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. A top-end engine overhaul was performed at Performance Engines of Sacramento, California in 2021, and an LN Engineering IMS bearing was installed under previous ownership. Equipment includes an electric sunroof, a deployable rear spoiler, 18″ 993 Turbo Technology hollow-spoke wheels, cross-drilled disc brakes, and Bilstein B6 shock absorbers in addition to power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, Audison speakers, a short shifter, a Sony touchscreen head unit, and aftermarket mufflers. This 996.1 coupe is offered with service records, parts invoices, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic (92U) and features an electric sunroof, a deployable rear spoiler, ceramic window tint film, and dual exhaust outlets with polished finishers. There is a chip in the windshield, and photographs of paint meter readings and imperfections are provided in the gallery below.
The 18″ 993 Turbo Technology hollow-spoke wheels were refinished and mounted with 225/40 front and 265/35 rear Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus tires in 2024. Braking is handled by four-piston Porsche-branded calipers fitted over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. Service between 2021 and 2022 included installing sway bar drop links and Bilstein B6 front struts and rear shocks as well as replacing the front and rear brake pads and rotors along with the suspension bushings, control arms, and tie rods.
The power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in Space Grey leather. Interior appointments include driver-seat memory settings, automatic climate control, cruise control, Audison speakers, a short shifter, and a Viper alarm system. A Sony touchscreen head unit features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and the removed stereo will accompany the car. The cabin air filter was changed in May 2024. There is wear on the driver’s seat outer bolster and a stiff area from a prior spill on the passenger’s seat bottom.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a central tachometer with a 7,200-rpm redline flanked by a 180-mph speedometer and gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 88k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.4-liter M96 flat-six was the recipient of a top-end rebuild at Performance Engines in 2021, at which time the air-oil separator, camshaft position sensor, mass airflow sensor, engine mounts, spark plugs, and ignition coils were replaced along with the timing chain tensioners, rails, and solenoids. The battery, left radiator fan, and coolant hoses were changed in May 2024, and the IMS bearing was replaced with an LN Engineering retrofit kit under previous ownership. Maintenance in preparation for the sale involved changing the oil and replacing the alternator, serpentine belt, and tensioner.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The dual-mass flywheel and clutch were replaced approximately three years ago. Aftermarket mufflers are installed and the removed units are included in the sale. The car passed a California emissions test in February 2024.
