About This Car
This 1999 Porsche Boxster was outfitted with a 996-sourced 3.4-liter flat-six soon after being delivered to the first owner, and it is further modified with a Quaife LSD, M030-specification suspension, a B&M short shifter, 18″ Carrera-style wheels, and a B&B exhaust with headers. Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over black leather, the car is equipped with a five-speed manual transaxle, a black soft top, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and cruise control. The car has remained registered in Washington state since new and now has 179k miles. Recently acquired by the selling dealer, this 986 Boxster is now offered at no reserve with a clean Washington state title.
The car is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with a black soft top. The Carfax report notes that the vehicle hit an embankment and tree in April 2016 resulting in front-end damage, and that the car was involved in a sideswipe collision with another motor vehicle the following year. The selling dealer notes that the right door has been repaired and most of the car has been repainted. Burnt headlight lenses and scratches on the underside of the front bumper cover are visible in the gallery.
The 18″ Carrera-style wheels are mounted with Nitto Invo tires. M030-specification sport suspension components are said to have been installed along with H&R springs and 10mm front and rear wheel spacers. The suspension rattles over bumps.
The interior is appointed with black leather seats, a B&M short shifter, Rennline metal pedal covers, cruise control, and a Becker-Porsche CDR-220 stereo. Various carbon-fiber trim pieces have cracks and damage, and the driver’s seat upholstery is worn.
The steering wheel fronts a central tachometer, a 160-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The steering wheel carbon-fiber trim is cracked. The digital odometer indicates 179k miles.
A 3.4-liter flat-six sourced from a 996-generation 911 was installed soon after the original owner collected the car. It sends power to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle with a Quaife limited-slip differential. A B&B exhaust system with headers is installed, and the selling dealer reports that the IMS bearing was replaced in 2019 at 152k miles. Other work has included replacing the air-oil separator at 162k miles and replacing the heater core and changing the oil in preparation for the sale. The selling dealer tells us there is a leak from the bank 2 VarioCam actuator switch.
The option sticker is present on the underside of the front trunk lid.
The Carfax report notes the aforementioned accident entries.
