About This Car
This 2008 Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe was the first unit allocated for the North American market and was previously sold for $2 million at the Naples Winter Wine Festival charity auction in Florida. Having 10k miles, it is finished in Ensign Red and is powered by a 6.75-liter V12 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The car was optioned with Parchment leather upholstery, a beige convertible soft top, a brushed stainless steel bonnet, a teak rear deck, a retractable Spirit of Ecstasy ornament, power-assisted rear-hinged doors, front and rear parking sensors, bi-xenon headlights, 21″Â alloy wheels, automatic load-leveling suspension, wood interior trim, a Lexicon audio system, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a rotating dashboard-mounted infotainment screen with navigation. This Phantom Drophead Coupe was acquired by the owner in 2023 and is now offered in New Jersey on dealer consignment with the owner’s manual, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.
The Phantom Drophead Coupe features alloy and composite body panels over an aluminum space-frame chassis with double-floor construction. Over 44,000 colors were offered from the factory, with this example being finished in Ensign Red and equipped with a beige convertible soft top, a brushed stainless steel hood, a teak rear deck, a retractable Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament, front and rear parking sensors, bi-xenon headlights, and LED taillights.
Bright 21″ alloy wheels feature self-righting Rolls-Royce monogram center caps and are wrapped in Goodyear tires. The factory automatic load-leveling suspension is comprised of air-sprung double wishbones up front, a multi-link setup out back, and computer-controlled dampers.
The rear-hinged coach doors open to reveal seating for four upholstered in Parchment leather, and wood trim accents adorn the dashboard, center console, and door panel inserts. Additional appointments include power-adjustable front seats, a Lexicon audio system, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a rotating dashboard panel that houses an analog clock and infotainment screen with navigation. Umbrellas stowed at the base of each A-pillar are accessible with the doors open.
A plaque on the door sill denotes this example as the first Phantom Drophead Coupe built for the North American market.
The rear of the car features a split trunk with a fold-down tailgate. Twin floor panels open to access a storage cavity.
The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel sits on a power-tilt column and fronts a power-reserve meter, a 160-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates 10k miles, approximately 700 miles of which were added under current ownership.
The 6.75-liter 48-valve aluminum V12 was factory rated at 453 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
